DESCRIPTION

Involves analysis of complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and / or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements.

Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required / available data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user.

Develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.

This role will be responsible for collaborating with nursing teams to develop and maintain databases, dashboard, and reporting for metrics to support nursing accreditation programs (ANCC Magnet and Practice Transition Accreditation Program) and nursing quality metrics.

Meets with stakeholders to provide the appropriate data analytics to support program and organizational outcomes. Supports accreditation submission documents by developing tables and graphs in alignment with accreditation standards.

Supports nurses working on improvement projects by providing data and reporting. This role will involve data entry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six years of related experience, education / training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience / training.
  • Experience and knowledge of managing large volumes of data in spreadsheets and data bases.
  • Experience building executive reports.
  • Experience collaborating w / clinical SMEs to ensure data integrity.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence functions and analytics.
  • Working knowledge of relevant internal databases, BI applications and tools. Ability to produce reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-resolution skills.
  • Detail oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with professional and technical staff.
  • Ability to train staff at a variety of technical skill levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or knowledge of clinical outcome benchmarking databases like NDNQI or Vizient.
  • Experience or knowledge of nursing accreditation programs like ANCC Magnet or ANCC PTAP.
  • Experience in continuous quality improvement.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range : $67,200 - $119,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $32.18 - $57.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
