Can you give a high-level overview of your team size, roles, its initiatives / deliverables, and any tool / technologies specific to your team / department / project they will be supporting : The internal team is approximately people with various roles (Project Management, Engineering, Plant Management, etc.)
The primary deliverable is installation of new gas turbine technology at an existing power plant. This individual would be working primarily with MS Project to coordinate client and contractor schedules during plant outage planning and through plant outage construction.
What would a day in the life of this role look like? : Receiving client and contractor schedule updates (via email or MS Project file), incorporating those updates into a master schedule, determining schedule variance from those updates, and meeting with client personnel to discuss schedule changes
What interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager? Primary interaction with Project Manager and Construction Manager, likely once a day
Weekly interaction with contractor scheduling lead(s)
Occasional interaction with hiring manager
What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks / months? : Taking multiple contractor and client schedules and creating a master schedule for the overall work
What do you foresee being the biggest challenge in this role? Sporadic nature of updates from contractors and client leads
