We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmer position in Newport News Virginia! Job Duties entail but are not limited to : Program and maintain current file revisions of all client partsInterpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of partsWork with clients’ engineersReverse engineer parts for manufacturingMake machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost effective mannerDesign and request procurement of tools necessaryPrepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheetsUtilize CAD / CAM software to continuously improve run time and programming time Qualifications : Minimum of 3 years of experience working with programming CNC Punch Press for Sheet Metal FabricationExperience programming for CNC Laser is preferred but not required.
Must be knowledgeable on various precision CNC machinery and principles, fabrication and machining practices, the properties of materials, and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and toolingCapable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovation to economically solve production problems in a timely mannerAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writingMust have working knowledge of SolidWorks - must have used this for sheet metal fabrication;
CAMWorks; and a computerized nesting software preferably SigmaNESTAbility to understand G Codes including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot production and technical issues Schedule : Monday-Friday12am-8 : 30am or 7am-3 : 30pmPay : $25-$38 / hour based on experience
