A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager Finance Transformation reports within the Controller's Project Management Office at Stanford Health Care (SHC).
Under general direction, the Senior Manager Finance Transformation leads continuous business process improvement initiatives, partnering with cross functional business leaders to develop and execute on alignment, integration, and transformation strategies within the Controller's Office.
The incumbent leads the development and implementation of financial systems, in support of Finance initiatives, and establishes priorities, develops implementation schedules, and designs training plans in support of assigned projects while ensuring internal controls are maintained.
The position also supports communication between TDS and the Controller's Office, with regards to financial systems and processes, to ensure internal controls are adequate and working effectively.
The position ensures that technology and processes are designed appropriately to maximize efficiencies and improve effectiveness across the Finance organization.
The position will be a liaison and project management for audits with external and internal auditors. The position manages key relationships, both internally and externally, during integrations, building trust and bringing together different viewpoints to a shared solution.
The Senior Manager Finance Transformation will be responsible for continuously communicating project updates to executive management.

What you will do
Drive initiatives within the Controller's Office by leveraging technology to improve processes and controls to support periodic and year-end accounting close.
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated solutions to optimize business processes for the Controller’s Office.
Define, introduce, and manage solutions to improve access to financial data and assist with financial analysis and reporting.
Establish and monitor processes to ensure user and security controls to financial systems are adequate and working
Project manage with the business lead all functional areas for the Controller’s Office for the ERP
Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary teams addressing complex, high visibility process redesign and innovation projects that impact the Controller’s Office.
Analyze and communicate impact of such projects and develop new procedures, as needed, to allow for successful implementation.
Lead and take ownership of assigned projects; ensure project goals are timely met; maintain detailed project documentation.
Serve as a liaison between TDS and Controller’s Office with respect to financial systems
Serve as a liaison with external / internal auditors and Controller’s Office with the functional areas in the Controller’s Office.
Serve as a liaison between Pharmacy and Accounts Payable with respect to the business process for Pharmacy drug purchases and the Pharmacy inventory management system.
Assist with the design and delivery of training programs for the Controller’s Office. Ensure staff is equipped with sufficient training and knowledge to leverage full capabilities of financial systems.
Design and manage key performance metrics that drive performance and demonstrate effectiveness. Ensures financial systems are used as designed and processes are being followed
Assist with implementation of best practices for the Controller’s Office.
Assist with additional internal and external audits, as needed.
Manage assigned staff across multiple business functions develop target goals, performance measures, and enhance skills and abilities of staff.
Ensure the team can meet expanding business needs and receive adequate cross training to ensure business continuity.
Keep current with technology trends and issues relative to financial and accounting systems.
Act as a leader and thought partner to functional business leaders, identifying areas of opportunity and risk and developing strategies to address and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures within the Controller’s Office.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting
Experience Qualifications
At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in Finance, including five (5) years business transformation experience in a Healthcare environment.
Proven ability to work well cross-functionally, rapidly gain an understanding of financial applications, initiate or manage multiple projects with changing priorities minimal guidance.
Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions
Excellent organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated projects
Possess core subject matter competency and credibility in financial accounting
Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills necessary to articulate conclusions and recommendations clearly in a respectful manner
Displays active listening skills / abilities
Excellent customer service skills possess strong positive disposition and exhibit willingness and capacity to assist at all times
Multi-year experience managing business processes for organizations using Lawson or major ERP system
Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to develop an effective team
Strong Change Agent proven ability to support organizational and business process changes
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls
Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, and fiscal and personnel management
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage deliverables and timelines
Demonstrated ability to collaborate well and work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results
Proven ability to introduce workable solutions to diverse and complex business problems
Excellent decision-making skills and recognizes when to seek manager’s assistance
Excellent analytical and problem / conflict resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve them quickly and well, and know when to escalate or rely on internal resources to assist
Demonstrated ability to shift priorities and manage multiple critical tasks with competing priorities and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations

Proven ability to lead teams and build consensus effectively.
Licenses and Certifications
CPA - Certified Public Accountant preferred

Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $70.43 - $93.34 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
