Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics.
This position has responsibility for teaching courses in Health Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Principles of Macroeconomics.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new courses, mentor students, and support undergraduate research projects.
We seek applicants who will support the University’s expanding initiatives in health and rehabilitation sciences.
Applicant Evaluative Criteria
Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following :
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered, but the doctoral degree must be earned by May 31, 2026.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in the field of economics at the university level in areas such as Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
- A primary specialization in Health Economics (JEL Code I1).
Preferred Qualifications
A secondary specialization in Sports Economics (JEL Code Z2).
