Essential Functions :

• Facilitates financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation for satellite office
• Provides additional administrative support to home-office on surge-need basis

Duties and Responsibilities include :

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
• Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
• Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Participate in special projects or initiatives, as required

Required Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, required
• Eight years or more of related experience, required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation, preferred.

Optional / Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting team with commercial and government contracts
• Familiarity with IT services contracts and / or products
• GSA Schedule administration
• Superior communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

The person in this position will often move about inside the office to escort visitors, deliver packages to addressee, etc.

Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
