Accounting Clerk - Kansas City Metro
LHH is partnering with a client within the Kansas City metro who is hiring an Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate would be responsible for performing a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions within the organization.
Please note this is a contract-to-hire opportunity that is fully onsite offering $
Responsibilities :
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
- Pay debts as they come due for payment, including necessary bills as well as supplier and vendor invoices.
- Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
- Maintain accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Qualifications :
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
- Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
