Release Train Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Train Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX.

This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for optimizing the flow of epics and the value delivered by a smaller Agile Release Train (ART)
• Focus on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth
• Coordinate and facilitate the ART ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams in the ART, and providing visibility into the health of epic / feature delivery and the overall program increment
• Ensure impediments to epic / feature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery
• Manage financials for the ART and assist with resource planning
• Promote and coach the Agile mindset and principles, empowering individual teams to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential

Requirements :

• Experience working in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment
• Extensive knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework and Kanban
• Experience working with and coaching business partners, program managers, and product owners
• Experience facilitating ART ceremonies (Backlog Refinement, Program Increment (PI) Planning, ART Sync or PO Sync, Scrum of Scrums), System Demos, and Retrospective
• SAFe RTE certification
• Experience for Agile named roles and core Lean-Agile principles
• Excellent communicator
• JIRA knowledge
• Confluence knowledge
• Experience working with teams spread across 2 continents
• Led 1 or more Agile Teams as a Scrum Master and / or Kanban Lead

Desired Skills :

Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer or Coach
