Position Overview

As our BIM Quality Manager , you’ll play a crucial role in upholding our quality standards and refining BIM processes. You’ll collaborate with our structural engineering team to ensure all BIM models and project drawings align with client expectations and industry standards.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about developing best practices, mentoring others, and continuously improving the quality and efficiency of our modeling work.

Key Outcomes :

  • Quality Completion : Achieve target percentage of reviews completed and provide detailed issue tracking, integrating professional development (PDH or Axiom U courses) as part of solutions.
  • Course Alignment : Develop and manage a training schedule that meets quality improvement targets.
  • Consistency and Scope : Enhance review processes to improve accuracy and reduce revisions.
  • Process & Mentoring Utilization : Optimize time spent in quality processes and team development.

Primary Responsibilities :

BIM Quality Control

  • Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and internal standards for both internal and outsourced work.
  • Identify and address inconsistencies in models; maintain procedures for model documentation and version control.
  • Continuously improve quality standards across projects, proactively suggesting areas for improvement.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Partner with modeling and design teams to ensure effective integration of BIM processes.
  • Lead client discussions related to BIM deliverables, responding to concerns and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to verify accuracy across structural components.

Mentorship & Training

  • Mentor junior modelers and oversee training on BIM standards and practices.
  • Regularly update and lead training programs focused on BIM quality, contributing to ongoing team development.

Continuous Improvement

  • Keep up with industry advancements and participate in initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the Structural Quality Manager and the Quality & Development Director to meet shared quality goals and enhance BIM processes.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in BIM management with a specialization in quality control.
  • Revit certification and expertise in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or Tekla.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
