Job Summary
- Pratt & Whitney has an opportunity for a Materials Production Control Team Member. This role reports into a Materials Manager for the Columbus Forge Disk Mod Center in Columbus, GA.
- Columbus Forge has Materials Shop Floor Control Technicians supporting the Materials Managers for critical part flow through operations to support customer deliveries.
- Key functions of this role include, but are not limited to : Tracking cell commitments, and communication with teams about schedules, thru put and delivery needs.
Part of flow transformation in lean / CORE environment, working to streamline flow, visual incoming / outgoing and milk run schedules.
Ability to work with materials team, operations / quality teams, and take part in planning, execution, and reporting of area goals and execution.
Work and manage cell quality hold areas to free product for downstream operations.
This is an off shift position (2nd 3rd or weekend)
Key Responsibilities :
- Competency in all phases of data entry and report generation.
- Must be capable of managing various tasks with tight deadlines.
- Analytical and multi-tasking skills required.
- Knowledge of PC-based information systems (SAP and Microsoft Products) is also required.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees, management and customers is required.
- Incumbent should be able to demonstrate success in motivating teams to set and accomplish goals, and the practical application of continuous improvement principles.
Basic Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 1 year of material handler
- Forklift experience
- Experience in SAP manufacturing Make-to-Order environment
