Job Summary :
As a Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury claims from inception to resolution.
This role involves conducting investigations, filing lawsuits, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements, while aggressively advocating for clients who have been injured due to negligence or misconduct.
Key Responsibilities :
- Handle all aspects of personal injury cases, including intake, investigations, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Provide legal representation and counsel to clients who have been injured in auto accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, medical malpractice, and other personal injury matters.
- Conduct thorough investigations and develop strong case strategies to ensure clients receive full compensation for their injuries.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel on behalf of clients.
- Represent clients in court, including hearings, depositions, trials, and mediations.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
- Collaborate with expert witnesses, medical providers, and other legal professionals to build strong cases.
- Keep abreast of legal developments in personal injury law and relevant case law.
- Meet billable hour requirements and firm performance metrics.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in insert state(s) .
- Minimum X years of experience practicing personal injury law on the plaintiff side.
- Proven track record of successfully litigating and resolving personal injury cases.
- Strong negotiation skills and a passion for client advocacy.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with trial preparation and trial work is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
