Friends of Puerto Rico is seeking a motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to work remotely alongside our Communications Team.
This internship provides a fantastic opportunity to lead online efforts for a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Puerto Rico, based in Washington, DC with offices in Puerto Rico.
A key responsibility will be to support the overall design, illustrations, graphics, and visuals for use in our marketing channels, enhancing the storytelling of our work.
Since its inception, Friends of Puerto Rico has led some of the most innovative and exciting initiatives to help rebuild Puerto Rico, and we are looking for an organized and driven individual to help maintain and improve our internal systems.
Responsibilities :
- Design relevant, original, high-quality, and effective graphics for our marketing channels, campaigns, and other needs.
- Layout and scale photos, ensuring they are marked for proper screen values for online or print reproduction.
- Work with a wide range of media and utilize graphic design software.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate in a remote work environment.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong visual design skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working remotely.
- Passion for non-profit work and interest in supporting Puerto Rico's communities.
