The Senior Housing Services Coordinator will be independently responsible for maintenance and support of the StarRez housing system.
This role also has primary responsibility for creating, maintaining, and designing departmental related reports from the StarRez system as well as integrations with DocuSign.
This includes the build-out of housing portal processes and updating existing system outputs. This position oversees the coordination of our Off Campus Housing resource website.
This role also handles prioritization of integrations within the system for both Housing and Dining needs, and external partners.
The Senior Coordinator is an essential personnel role on campus.
Senior Housing Services Coordinator
What you will do :
StarRez & System Support (70% of time) :
Lead the development and maintenance of the Star Rez system with the Associate Director of Operations.
Implementation of the full suite of StarRez functions as they relate to CU Denver Housing and Dining; including package tracking, guest login, and asset check-out.
Coordinates IT integrations with StarRez for CU Denver and MSU Denver.
Creates and uses StarRez reports and dashboards to monitor tasks, collect the data to assist, notify and follow up with students.
Updates StarRez software database daily for accuracy and reporting.
Lead the creation and maintenance of data and data structures within Star Rez and provide reports and query results for Housing Leadership and campus partners.
Maintain StarRez Portal and provide updates.
Act as the Housing and Dining liaison to the Office of Information Technology at CU Denver.
Act as the point of contact for the StarRez account manager.
Provide training to the on-site professional and student staff on StarRez as required.
Housing & Dining Services (30% of time) :
Research and responds to inquiries from students, families, and campus partners in order to provide or clarify information on housing options, services, programs, policies and or procedures.
Serve as a liaison to students, families, campus partners regarding complaints, questions, and other assignment matters via telephone, email, and virtual and or in person meetings.
Make recommendations for housing contract updates on an annual basis.
Coordinates room move requests, placement and waiting lists.
Collaborates with Housing & Dining Leadership to provide appropriate and timely response to system-wide or community specific needs, emergencies, or other situations requiring intervention, including the participation in the on-call rotation.
Resolves Housing assignment problems and student issues while working with Housing staff and campus partners for solutions.
Coordinates with Student Accounts Manager all student account adjustment forms, scanning, logging, verifying and submittals to Student Financial Services.
Assist with the coordination of all occupancy usage, and reporting efforts including identifying trends, projections, and forecasting future housing needs.
Develops and implements housing contract process with MSU Denver.
Oversees new student, transfer, and affiliate housing waitlists; communicates and updates residents and parents on waitlist placement and progress.
Participates and leads department wide committees.
Trains department staff and campus partners on policies and procedures related to housing assignments.
Collaborates with University partners to ensure a seamless onboarding student experience by disseminating relevant housing and dining updates.
Provide the CU Denver Special Admissions Committee with weekly reports for all students meeting the need for Special Admissions consideration.
Hire, train, and supervise part time student worker(s).
This position serves as part of the on-call rotation for Housing and Dining
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Three (3) years of related experience
Experience with management and / or supervision in a professional environment
Experience working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
A master’s degree in education, communication, social science, women and gender studies, psychology, computer science, information systems, business, health sciences, physical sciences, public administration, business administration, higher education, counseling, hospitality, liberal arts, finance, accounting, human services, student affairs, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
3+ years of experience working in a Residence Hall setting.
3+ years of experience working with StarRez or a housing management software
SQL report writing
Experience with emergency response and / or crisis management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
Conditions of Employment
Occasional work during the evening and / or weekends may be required.
This position requires an onsite presence on campus 5 days a week with the option for a hybrid schedule based on business needs.

The salary range () for this position has been established at $57,000 - $67,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range () represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is noteligible for overtime compensation.
