Description
POSITION SUMMARY : Participates in general accounting and financialreporting services of the Region and its affiliates. MonthEnd close and reconciliation.
Assists with completion of allrequired work papers for annual audit. May assist is thepreparation of tax and governmentreporting
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting or four years of experience in accounting willsubstitute for degree.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : CPA and / or MBA preferred.
SKILLS :
- Thorough knowledge of Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles
- Knowledge of electronicdata processing systems
- Proficiency inelectronic spreadsheet (Excel) and word processingprograms
- Must have excellent analytical andproblem solving skills
- Proactive, articulate,effective and positive communications skills are required.
- EXPERIENCE : At least four years accounting, including : Financialstatement (along with financial indicators) preparation;
- GL MonthEnd processes; account variance analysis, audit preparation; jointventures, partnership and consolidation accounting;
tax reportingexperience; reimbursement exposure / experience helpful; experiencein financial management of physician practices helpful.
Fiveyears experience in an acute health care settingpreferred.
