The Washington Area currently has an opening for an Advisory Services Principal to join our team. The candidate would work closely with the Resources (Power, Industrial, Waste) Advisory Services Business Group Director and Management Consulting Business Class Lead to implement strategic services across Resources market sectors and support other Business Groups, with a particular focus on continuing to build the asset management service line.
- Primary responsibilities for this position are to lead and support key projects, engage in business development, grow service lines, and develop staff.
- Project involvement includes serving as a project manager or principal in charge, overseeing management of technical resources to facilitate successful project delivery, and directly supporting projects.
The ideal candidate would have experience with developing and managing successful Advisory Services projects.
- Business development includes engaging in client management, marketing, strategic planning, contract management, and other related activities.
- Growing service lines occurs through a combination of business development, excellent project delivery and internal collaboration.
- As a Principal, the expectation is to mentor and train our Analysts and Consultants.
- Perform other duties as needed
Advisory Services requires gaining knowledge of new subjects, markets, and trends. Candidate needs to be curious and have the passion to continue learning.

- 25+ years of relevant experience
- Candidate should possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnel.
- Solid business development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to clients.
- Some travel required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- A minimum of 20 years as a consultant and extensive related experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
