We are hiring for a Patient Ambassador / Medical Staff Runner at our facility in Roswell, GA!

Responsibilities :
The RVA Patient Ambassador / Medical Staff Runners primary responsibility is to coordinate and document the movement of patients to the medical provider and return back to their rooms / groups, etc.
In addition, the Patient Ambassador / Medical Staff Runners crucial role is to ensure a positive and comforting experience for patients and their families within a healthcare setting.
The Patient Ambassador will serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and the healthcare staff, providing support and assistance to enhance the overall patient experience.
Assists in orienting the patients to the facility and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following :
CORE JOB DUTIES :
- Assist in the delivery of patients to the medical providers and ensuring they are returned to their rooms or groups.
- Documenting the times of the patient movement and reporting that to the Clinical team and the Physician Services Coordinator.
- Communicating with patients about their needs and relaying the information to medical, clinical, and nursing staff as appropriate.
- Discuss with patients the ROIs so we can communicate effectively with family and support systems if they are sent out of the hospital.
- Advocate for patients as appropriate.
- Conduct patient orientations.
- Review care needed today requests and triage if appropriate the requests by staff and patients to see the medical staff.
- Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate
- Adhere to time schedules
- Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff
- Keep clinical records secure at all times
OTHER REQUIRED DUTIES :
- Encourage patient to maintain Recovery post-discharge
- Ability to work with diverse personalities.
- Understand and apply the programs clinical philosophy
- Demonstrate good strategic and problem-solving skills
- Communicate all urgent matters with immediate supervisor.
- Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility
- Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs
- Function well as a team member and contribute positively to the team and organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Advanced Recovery Systems complies with state-specific COVID-19 vaccination mandates for healthcare workers. Team members in our facilities / offices located in states with vaccination mandates are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if stipulated) unless approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Associates Degree and minimum one (1) year experience in BHT or similar role required.
- In lieu of Associates Degree, minimum two (2) years experience in BHT or similar patient care role required.
- Alternatively, successful completion of the ARS training through the Behavioral Heath Technician I
- Adult Facilities : Prefer experience working with adults.
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
