Our client, a highly regarded law firm is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Paralegal to join their team. With a focus on personal injury settlement matters, this is a unique opportunity for a dedicated legal professional to excel in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
As a Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury Settlements, you will be expected to :
- Drafting legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, interrogatories, motions, and pleadings, according to judicial procedures.
- Legal research, including providing written analysis on statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources.
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
- Handle settlement disbursement and lien negotiations.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements :
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation related to litigation
- Proficient in e-filing procedures - Local, State and Federal
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various databases and resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in drafting various legal documents - (Petitions, Interrogatories, Discovery Requests, etc.)
- Must have experience in Settlement procedures - lien reductions
