Job Title : Shipping / Receiving Operator
Job Description
- Pick / Pack / Ship finished goods from the warehouse.
- Contact freight companies to schedule pickups through phone or digital portals.
- Receive, sort, and label packages and put away in warehouse.
- Consolidate inventory within warehouse.
- Spot / Cycle count warehouse inventory.
- Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
- Maintain clean organization of goods, paperwork, work area, etc.
- Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Develop the department by participating in team performance and improvement meetings.
- Observe all company policies.
- Other tasks as may be assigned.
Ideal candidate should be well-versed in both shipping and receiving functions, with a greater need on the receiving side.
Responsibilities include using ERP systems to check in shipments and track inventory, paying close attention to detail, performing inventory counts, troubleshooting and problem-solving, and investigating inventory discrepancies.
This role involves physical activity, including walking around the warehouse to find missing products, and operating stand-up forklifts (training available for those with sit-down experience).
Contractor duties include operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to receive materials, crates, and other products, and then stock them within the warehouse.
Responsibilities also include entering inventory data into the computer system, unloading trucks, and typing in quantities, part numbers, purchase orders, and packing lists.
The workload varies, with 5-10 containers a week from West Europe.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in RICHMOND, Virginia.
Work Environment
Clean climate-controlled work environment. Wear steel toe shoes, long pants, and a plain t-shirt. Safety glasses provided.
The warehouse is next to the production area, and the culture is a great team atmosphere. Onsite restaurant serves breakfast and lunch.
