Salary : $100,000-$130,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Corporate Controller will oversee all of the accounting functions of the company, included but not limited to the process of collecting and organizing Service & Project accounting data related to Erling’s Revenue, COGS and OPEX, and other ad-hoc related financial activities, to ensure the organization is maximizing its profitability;

Billing & Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Sales and Use Tax preparation; Monthly close process. The Corporate Controller will assist in the proposal and deployment of systems and / or processes to manage and analyze financial data and other related records.

He / she will work in close collaboration with the CFO and other teams, including Service Operations, Construction and Project Management, Procurement, and Sales.

The candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple complex lines of business simultaneously in a fast-growing environment.

Our core expertise is with fuel systems however we are expanding our offerings to provide a broad range of equipment, installation, repairs, and maintenance of the mechanical systems in these facilities.

Our market is Texas and Oklahoma. We have delivered double-digit annual revenue growth for over fifteen years and expect that to continue going forward. We are privately held.

A PREVIEW OF YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Lead all accounting, reporting and tax functions. Reports to the CFO.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers and accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with appropriate standards.
• Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of billing functions.
• Prepare and lead financial statements preparation.
• Manage the development and implementation of improved processes, systems and software related to the accounting function.
• Lead the timely, complete, and accurate compilation, review and publication of management and tax reporting for the company.
• Build and maintain high performing teams by recruiting, selecting, coaching, training, and motivating employees.
• Implement and maintain Internal Controls.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures for the company including those related to fixed assets, revenue recognition, software accounting and other complex accounting matters.
• Responsible for tax accounting, which includes multi-State Sales & Use tax reporting.
• Develop a close working relationship and foster team relationships with company’s various business unit Leads. Work with these teams in developing, maintaining and reporting relevant KPI’s / metrics / financial performance.
• Support financial presentations to company’s Executive Team.
• Assist the CFO with corporate budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and expense management efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Sharp understanding of Balance Sheets and P&L statements, with the ability to swiftly tune mindset into various lines of business.
• Experience in Servicing and Project / Construction Accounting, with assimilated Sales and Use Tax implications.
• Knowledge of commercial contracts, order forms, legal, and pricing.
• Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and ability to coach and lead the team to deliver results with professionalism.
• Experience with internal and external (client portals) billing systems, ERP and CRM systems.
• Comfortable performing workflow analysis assessments.
• Hands-on approach, ready to jump in and assist accounting related activities as needed.
• Highly motivated and able to perform under minimal supervision.
• Impeccable presentation and communication skills, comfortable addressing and presenting to the Executive team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in financial accounting.
• Experience in both Construction (Project Accounting) and Servicing (high volume / low dollar transactions) businesses highly preferred.
• Minimum of BS in Accounting or assimilated field highly preferred.
• Active CPA license a plus, but not mandatory.
• ERP proficiency and knowledge highly preferred (Microsoft Dynamics / GP / Business Central and Oracle NetSuite a big plus)
