Quality Control Inspector

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Durham, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing duties concerning the inspection of executed tasking in Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, and Automation related areas.

They will also ensure that the final product of work is compliant with local state and national codes and is also in agreement with supplied work plans and specifications.

This position requires an on-site presence at the EPA Site at RTP (Research Triangle Park) in Durham, NC.

Key Responsibilities :

• Routinely assesses, work performed by technical staff to ensure quality of final product.
• Works with in-house staff to make necessary corrections as result of inspections.
• Acts as a representative to the Quality Manager in executing milestone inspections of in progress projects.
• Routinely walks several miles daily in execution of inspection tasking.
• Assist in review of project work plans for compliance prior to client submittal.
• Performs other duties as assigned by lead or management staff.

Skills / Qualifications :

• 3+ years of experience in quality control inspection, reviewing plans, and specifications
• Experience in large-scale environments, like campuses / colleges / schools, data centers, large administrative facilities, warehouses, childcare facilities, hospitals, construction sites, multi-family properties, etc.
• Familiarity with MS Suite
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ years of age or olde
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Have private transportation to and from work site location
• Possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
• Be able to lift twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.)
• Be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed
• Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
• Ability to obtain facility / site security and access credentials
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in trades areas like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, security, general construction, general mechanical, automation, structural, etc.
• Experience working with or for local, state, federal government, military, or municipal employers or contractors.
• Industry related licenses, certifications, or degrees
• Familiarity with Nevolo work order software program
