The Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court will be responsible for completing intake assessments for MHC referrals. These assessments will take place in the field, including within the Pinellas County Jail.
This includes completing comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and other documentation and assessments as required and that clients admitted to the MHC program meet medical necessity for behavioral health and substance abuse services.
The Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court will be a subject matter expert on comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and counseling interventions that serve to enhance the development of recovery, natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills.
As a result, the Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court will also serve as the clinical expert for the MHC team, and will provide ongoing guidance, education, and recommendations for treatment planning and interventions based on medical necessity.
The Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court is responsible for understanding the array of DFL and community services in order to make appropriate recommendations and referrals for needed services.
The Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court is responsible for speaking in court, or with court personnel, as a clinical subject matter expert to discuss, explain, and recommend appropriate treatment recommendations for MHC clients and to participate in staffings as said clinical subject matter expert.
This is a field-based position. The Clinical Assessor Mental Health Court is responsible for ensuring an annual client facing client care number of 1,410 hours annually.
Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly and annual client facing client care hours is an essential function of this position.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS :
- Master's Degree in Human Services required, in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy a plus. Registered Intern, preferred.
- At least two years' experience with a psychiatric population of clients is preferred.
- Responsible to meet productivity requirements of 1440 hours of direct face to face client contacts annually or a 120 hours per month.
