Position Summary
The Child Watch Attendant is a per-diem position responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable childcare environment for the children of our patients.
This role involves supervising and engaging children in various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and monitor children's play activities.
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games and group activities.
- Read to children and teach them basic skills.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff members.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties.
- Adhere to all JHC policies and procedures, including safety standards and confidentiality regulations.
- Cross-train for other non-medical JHC positions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Minimum age of 18.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year or more of previous childcare experience.
- CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogen, Child Abuse Training, Drug and Alcohol Abuse training certifications, and Food Handler’s Card.
- TB test clearance.
- Knowledge of basic care principles for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
- Responsible, patient, understanding, and articulate.
- Energy and physical stamina.
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to illnesses and injuries.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
- Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.
