Aeroflow Health - Human Resources Business Partner
Location : Asheville, NC Corporate Office (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Human Resources Operations team is responsible for managing many aspects of employee relations for over 800 employees.
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HRBP will be responsible for a variety of HR and administrative functions with an overall goal of supporting Aeroflow's Mission and delivering world-class service to our coworkers and customers.
Your Primary Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner. The HRBP will be assigned specific business units and for the assigned groups will :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, fostering a positive work environment and addressing employee concerns or conflicts promptly and effectively.
- Provide guidance and consultation to managers on performance management, including coaching, counseling, and conducting investigations into performance related issues.
- Collaborate with managers to develop appropriate corrective action plans and support the disciplinary process when necessary.
- Oversee the termination process, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Manage unemployment claims with external third party.
- Support employees and managers throughout the leave process.
- Lead the reasonable accommodation process for employees covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including evaluating accommodation requests, engaging in the interactive process, and coordinating with managers and employees to implement appropriate accommodations.
- Stay up to date with the latest HR trends, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for policy updates or changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement, performance management, and talent development programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work on-site in Asheville.
- Maintain HIPAA / patient confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (e.
g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, leave administration, and ADA reasonable Accommodations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing payroll and employee benefits.
Ensure that all payroll and benefits practices are compliant with current legal requirements and industry standards. Regularly review and interpret changes in legislation and regulations to adjust policies and procedures accordingly, ensuring organizational compliance and minimizing legal risks.
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues with a track record of successful resolutions.
- Strong understanding of performance management best practices and the ability to guide managers through the process effectively.
- Experience handling terminations, including conducting exit interviews and managing the necessary documentation.
- Familiarity with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to inform HR strategies and decisions.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
