Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist role :
- Open, stamp, and sort all incoming accounts payable mail
- Lo, receive, code and match all invoices into the JD Edwards accounts payable system
- Scan and distribute invoices for proper authorization for payment
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Respond to all vendor inquires
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Process invoices payments, requests for checks, and cash advances in a timely manner
- Interact with other departments in answering questions regarding accounts payable records and posted expenses
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist :
- 2+ years of Full Cycle Accounts Payable experience
- Systems experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is a plus
- Solid MS Excel - Intermediate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pick up processes quickly
- Strong attention to detail and organized
