Key Responsibilities :
- AS9100 Compliance : Assist in ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, including participating in internal audits and helping maintain certification.
- Documentation : Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
- Inspection and Testing : Assist the visual and dimensional inspection quality personnel in using dimensional equipment (e.
g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure products meet specifications. Assist in material testing using various test equipment (e.
g., Durometer gage, Tensile tester, MDR)
- Report Writing : Assist in compilation and analysis of inspection data to prepare detailed reports on product quality including but not limited to AS9102 First article reports, Non-conformance reports, and Corrective action plans.
- Dimensional Equipment Management : Maintain dimensional equipment, ensuring all calibration requirements are up to date and recorded.
- 6S and Continuous Improvement : Participate in 6S and continual improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Root Cause Analysis : Assist engineering team in conducting root cause corrective action reports.
- Communication : Provide clear and effective communications in written and verbal form to all work centers using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Provide precise, accurate, and complete written reports to management team in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of AS9100 standards and quality management systems.
- Familiar with inspection techniques and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of 6S methodology and continuous improvement principles is a plus.
