Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Job Costing : Support the job costing process by assisting with costing across five different business lines and several types of projects.
Conduct audits of completed projects to ensure accuracy.-Accounts Receivable & Financial Process Support : Manage accounts receivable, including payment collections, bank reconciliations, month-end closing activities, invoicing, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with sales and production teams within CRM and project management systems (BuilderTrend) to audit jobs, verify data, and collaborate on financial reporting requirements.
- Compliance Support : Assist in managing compliance tasks such as business licenses, tax filings (B&O, sales tax), and other federal / state / local filings.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for improvement in financial processes, contributing to technology implementations and automation efforts.
The ideal candidate should possess : -Qualifications : -Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of accounting or financial auditing experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Financial certifications such as CMA or CPA are a plus.-Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with BuilderTrend, Asana, and intercompany accounting within the construction industry is preferred.
- Compliance Knowledge : Experience with Washington and Oregon state filings and compliance is a plus.-Technical Skills : -Software Proficiency : Expertise in QuickBooks Online Advanced, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Accounting Knowledge : Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, job costing, and financial auditing.-Data & Automation : Ability to analyze financial data and drive automation and process improvements within the financial department.
- Professional Skills : -Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Detail-Oriented : Ability to review financial documents thoroughly, ensuring accuracy in reporting and analysis.-Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to identify issues and provide proactive solutions.
