Title : Lead Planner Scheduler

Description :
The Planning and Scheduling Lead oversees planning and scheduling personnel and participates in the Project Controls Leadership team and other necessary assignments.
The lead is responsible for all infrastructure project planning and scheduling activities.
Responsibilities :
- Develop the total infrastructure resource-loaded plan for the entire project lifecycle.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the integrated infrastructure project schedule, ensuring timely and accurate data input.
- Tailor existing procedures and guide team in various planning and scheduling activities, including baselines, forecasts, actuals, and critical path evaluation.
- Coordinate all planning interfaces between phases and organizations.
- Lead planning and scheduling presentations to the Infrastructure Management Team and other project management personnel.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and project scheduling standards and procedures.
- Interface and coordinate with project teams and contractors to incorporate schedule data accurately and timely.
- Liaise with the Program Planning and Scheduling Lead to integrate infrastructure planning and scheduling into the main project schedule.
- Analyze incoming project schedules, provide early warnings through variance and trend analysis, and recommend recovery or workaround plans to project teams.
- Coordinate with the Cost Lead to align the schedule with the cost budget and forecast.
- Develop monthly planning and scheduling dashboard reports and support all monthly reporting requirements.
- Oversee change / trend management processes of contractors and steward the owner’s trend and change management.
- Evaluate infrastructure change orders for cost impact.
- Review and analyze contractor's proposed baseline schedules, updates, manpower plans, critical path, and progress reporting, and provide feedback to the Project Controls Manager, the team and contractors.
- Ensure contractors are aware of the enterprise schedule architecture, software requirements, reporting requirements, and any database modifications.
- Coordinate and / or perform schedule risk analysis if required.
- Perform schedule audits using the schedule audit checklist. Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree and / or equivalent experience.
- Proven management and staff leadership skills.
- 9+ years of experience in major capital projects in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical environments, with increasing responsibility, complexity, and scale.
- Extensive experience with Primavera.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (engineering office, and fabrication / construction sites).
- High technical competency in project controls with expertise in planning and scheduling, progress measurement, CPM scheduling, critical change management, and expert use of project controls systems.
- All duties will be performed in accordance with HSE policies Preferred Qualifications :
- Arctic project / construction experience.
- 9+ years of direct, in-depth project planning experience in arctic oil and gas projects.
- Knowledge of project controls, cost engineering, planning & scheduling, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and promote the adoption of established planning / control practices.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good communicator, able to work well with project managers and team members to identify problems or issues.
