Description
Performs duties in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cycle counting programs to support production schedules and customer requirements.
Essential Functions :
Completes warehousing, Inventory Control, Receiving, Shipping, Product Identification and traceability, and proper material handling and storage tasks.
This includes all data entry and maintenance in an ERP system.
- Completes inventory transactions such as transfers, issues, receipts on PC and barcode scanner.
- Assists with Inventory Cycle Count Program.
- Completes tasks required of the incoming materials inspection program.
- Safely operate heavy equipment as directed.
- Complies with safety and hazardous material handling regulations.
- Approve labor in ERP system on a day-to-day basis and train new employees on labor tracking.
- Coordinate trailer shipments and service support for existing customers trailers.
- Required to initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times and / or to correct nonconformities.
- Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience / Training / Education :
Required : High school diploma or GED equivalent and1-3 years relevant work experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively. Previous experience with an ERP system highly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, email, and physical office equipment (printers, copiers, fax).
Physical and Environmental Elements :
This is a production classification and employees work indoors and outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
Accurate hand / eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs.
Need to have the ability to ascend and descent a ladder and / or scaffolding.
