Responsibilities
- Oversee, review, and document complex customer contracts
- Ensure revenue recognition policies are in accordance with GAAP, specifically ASC 606
- Review revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and related reconciliations
- Assess actual revenue results against forecasts and provide variance explanations
- Analyze the allowance for credit losses and apply company policy for allowance provisions
- Respond to sales team requests and make suggestions to optimize revenue recognition
- Liaise with the Sales Operations team to ensure revenue data is properly input in Salesforce
- Collaborate with product and analytics teams to ensure proper revenue recognition
- Help implement a new billing system and integrated revenue recognition software
- Assist with interim and year-end audit requests from internal and external auditors
Requirements
- 5+ years of revenue accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of ASC 606
- Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Background in a publically traded company
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills, able to manipulate large data sets
- CPA required
