Content Creator - Contract Position

Boston Scally is a headwear company headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. We created the Boston Scally cap, an innovative hat design that is a contemporary take on the old-fashioned flat cap.

We represent Boston and the blue collar ethic that defines our community and goes way beyond the boundaries of our town.

The Content Creator will work with our creative and marketing teams to shoot both photo and video assets. You will be working across a range of different content types, capturing product stills, flat lay, on-model, and set-based assets.

In addition, you will be responsible for helping concept, shooting and producing content for social media, performance marketing campaigns, and website needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will be well-versed in photography with experience in video and social media content. They will work with the Boston Scally team to push our brand and deliver rich visual content to elevate all channels.

The successful candidate will be creative, have excellent technical skills and be able to manage large projects. Efficient workflow management and organization is key to this role.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative content to support brand initiatives, product launches
• Understanding of the brand and ability to create content and represent the integrity and backbone of Boston Scally
• Stay ahead of creation trends in the industry by keeping current with new approaches and technologies
• Create relevant, original, high-quality content (posts, videos, images) for relevant platforms to engage our target audiences, build brand awareness, and convert and retain followers.
• Capture the functionality, features, benefits, and uniqueness of individual products
• Consistently produce digital images that are within established standards
• Maintain the workflow that ensures completing tasks and projects
• Stay ahead of creation trends in the industry by keeping current with new approaches, technologies, and competitive aspects in the market including both photo and video
• Create relevant, original, high-quality content (posts, videos, images) for relevant social media platforms to engage our target audiences, build brand awareness, and convert and retain followers.
• Work proactively to understand specific brand direction

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• A natural interest and flair for social media, as well as an understanding of best practices
• Able to deliver high-quality video, photography, and designs
• Awareness of trends, with the ability to interpret them into high-performing, brand-consistent creative
• Balances a strong creative point of view with a collaborative mentality
• A flexible and adaptable attitude and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to process and take action on creative feedback
• Knowledge of fashion, portrait and e-commerce

Additional Information

• This role will be contracted monthly

• This candidate must be based in the Boston area and requires approximately 20 - 25 hours a week at Boston Scally headquarters
