Position : Special Education Teacher
Location : Sharon MA
Job Overview :
TheSpecial Education Teacher will provide individualized instructionand support to students with disabilities in both inclusive andspecialized settings.
The teacher will develop and implementIndividualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaborate with generaleducation teachers and ensure that each students learning needs aremet in alignment with Massachusetts standards.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with specialneeds.
- Adapt and modify the curriculum to meetthe diverse needs of students.
- Provide directinstruction in a variety of academic areas based on studentneeds.
- Collaborate with general educationteachers to support inclusion in the general classroom.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructionas needed.
- Communicate with parentsadministrators and support staff about student progress.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotesstudent engagement and success.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in SpecialEducation or a related field.
- ValidMassachusetts teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse learningneeds in a school setting.
- Strongunderstanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaborationskills.
Preferred :
- Experience with specific disabilities (e.g.Autism ADHD learning disabilities).
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and instructionalstrategies for students with special needs.
