Summer Maintenance Employees
ESS is seeking Summer Maintenance Employees to work at the Hillsboro School District beginning June 22, 2020 and the last day will be determined based on the first day of school.
This position is Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm. Employees must be able to attend one day of the mandatory job orientation.
Orientation sessions are 4 hours and paid. Assignments to be determined by June 1st based on the crew roster.
The orientation will be held on June 15, 16, and 17 from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform grounds keeping duties, operating a variety of power tools and equipment
- Mow lawns and prune shrubs and trees
- Performs grounds keeping duties, operating a variety of power tools and equipment
- Load, deliver, and unload supplies and equipment
- Perform basic construction work in concrete, wood, metal, and other applicable materials
- Assist other skilled maintenance workers performing plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, construction, or repair work
- Help refinish gym floors
- Clean school buildings and lockers
- Be able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Move classroom furniture
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- State / FBI Criminal History Clearance
- Drug Screen - Varies by District
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work safely and adhere to ESS and district's policies and procedures
- A valid driver's license preferred
