We are seeking an experienced automotive dealership Group Controller to join the team! This is a unique opportunity to join ownership that values an inquisitive, creative, analytical leader.

A team player who works well with all levels of employees plus vendors, manufacturers, legal, accounting, and banking relations.

Description :

Successful and growing dealership group is seeking a seasoned Group Controller who will be responsible for all traditional Controllership duties including administrative, accounting, and financial operations for multiple rooftops and leading other Controllers and accounting staff.

This is a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a difference maker who will evaluate current structure and implement improvements.

Operations :

• Manage the accounting, human resources and administrative departments.
• Manage store Controllers
• Oversee inventories, receivable and other controlled accounts for multiple stores.
• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
• Manage aging reports
• Oversee Federal, State, and Local government communications.
• Oversee banking relationships.

Financial :

• Review the reconciliations of the general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable and floorplan payable
• Oversee the issuance of financial information.
• Manage corporate general ledger and financial statements of multiple stores
• Manage month-end closing accuracy and deadlines with store Controllers.
• Manage external auditing and accounting relationships.

Requirements : .

• 5 years franchised new automotive dealership Controllership experience with a large dealership or, over multiple rooftops.
• Desire to help all department heads and keep business and communications flowing
• Effective team member
• Ability to commute to Springfield, VA area daily or to relocate
