Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965.
Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas / Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas / Oklahoma border.

POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for performing all required laboratory testing procedures including, but not limited to, blood specimen collection, determining validity of results, quality control analysis, maintenance of accurate records and maintaining equipment.
- Responsible for interpreting and troubleshooting patient results. The following is a summary of the major job functions;
- perform all required testing in various sections of the clinical laboratory according to policy and procedures; perform and documant results of quality control and maintenance, taking necessary corrective action as prescribed by written policy;
- collect speciment, process specimens and prepare specimens for testing or referral as prescribed by written policy; assist physicians and other hosptial personnel with interpretation of test results;
- ordering and taking outpatient orders; responsible for ensuring a clean work area and adequate supplies (restocking of inventory);
- must be able to perform problem solving or troubleshooting as outlined by lab policy. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor that are not listed below;
and specific functions may change from time to time.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science field with clinical site training from accredited Medical Technology program.
Bachelor of Science from approved Medical Technology program or related science field required; ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologist) certified as MT (Medical Technologist) within 6 months of hire date, or equivalent, such as AMT, CLS certified.
Must have the ability to read, write and learn a computer system. Must demonstrate knowledge and skill in obtaining laboratory specimens from all age groups.
Must demonstrate knowledge and skill in performing laboratory testing, procedures, and processes. Must have good verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Must have commitment to team operation.
