Job Summary : The Business Development Manager will work closely with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future. Responsibilities include developing growth strategies and plans, managing and retaining relationships with existing clients, writing business proposals, negotiating with stakeholders, researching business opportunities and viable income streams, and following industry trends locally and internationally to report on successes and areas needing improvements. Team management involves leading and managing a team, setting goals and KPIs for team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and developing and implementing training programs to keep team members updated on trends and strategies.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 5 years experience, with at least 2 years experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in planning and scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and end-to-end project management.
The compensation range for this role is $200,000-$250,000 and varies based on experience, education, and skills needed. Xylem offers Flexible Time Off, Health Plans, and 401(k) in addition to compensation.
