Your work will be integral to the planning, designing, and execution phases, ensuring that our projects meet and exceed industry standards.

Your daily impact :

  • Assist in planning and developing electrical designs for water infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct electrical calculations and design analyses for preliminary and detailed designs.
  • Develop and review electrical cost estimates to ensure financial feasibility of projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive electrical reports, plans, and specifications, including those for power distribution and SCADA systems.
  • Develop electrical designs for power distribution, controls, and instrumentation for portions of major projects or complete moderate-scope projects with senior engineer supervision.
  • Review electrical construction submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct field inspections to assess the progress and compliance of electrical installations under the supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Create and deliver electrical engineering presentations to stakeholders and clients, focusing on project-specific requirements.
  • Work effectively within a project team, contributing to the success of projects through collaboration and communication.
  • Ensure all electrical projects comply with industry standards, codes, contracts, drawings, specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

What you bring to the table :

  • Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam; Professional Engineer (P.

E.) license preferred or within six (6) months of hire or after required experience achieved.

  • 2-7 years of experience in electrical engineering within the water infrastructure sector.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and their role in water infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, motor controls, variable frequency drives, PLC, and SCADA.
  • Familiarity with building code and IEEE standards.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to perform office and field work as needed by project demands.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and CAD design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems analysis software for producing short circuit, coordination, and arc flash calculations (e.

g., ETAP or SKM Power*Tools).

  • Commitment to staying current with industry advancements, new technologies, and evolving electrical engineering standards.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
