Job Requirements
- Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- RNs are required to titrate drips.
- Charge Nurse responsibilities include having an assignment.
- Nurse aids / patient care techs duties and ratios are specified.
- RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling : 0630-1900, 1830-0700 for 6-week scheduling periods.
- Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements : Will rotate with permanent staff.
- Floating requirements include Med / Surg and all areas in the hospital depending on abilities.

- 28 beds in the unit.
- Nurse to patient ratio : 1 : 04
- Specialty equipment available : Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand
Additional Details
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients include adults from the ER, Mixed Medical / Surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients.
- Common titratable & / or set rate drips include Heparin, octreotide, insulin, etc.
- A Charge Nurse is present on each shift.
- Tele / Monitor Techs are present on the unit.
- Scrub Color / Dress code : Navy Blue
