About the Role :
As the Director of Operations, you will lead the manufacturing operations to deliver carbon-neutral light metal made from seawater to customers.
You will oversee all aspects of the production operations team, including building up a world-class facilities maintenance and EH&S program.
The Director of Operations will have the opportunity to deliver real products that address significant environmental and national security challenges.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Salary $120,000 to $170,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities :
- Build asset care and maintenance processes to ensure process performance and reliability, including managing minor CAPEX and revenue engineering projects.
- Develop and implement operational excellence, environmental health and safety, and facilities policies and procedures for efficient operation.
- Define clear scopes of work for outsourced contractors, ensuring all external work meets standards and operational goals.
- Lead a team of R&D technicians and operators responsible for operating, monitoring, and improving the existing pilot.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and Director of Technology to achieve technology goals.
- Plan and oversee facilities to accommodate growth, including coordinating maintenance, repairs, upgrades of equipment, infrastructure, and leading procurement.
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a similar manufacturing or industrial role, either in large-scale or start-up production.
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations in California.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred : University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
