We are seeking a dedicated and community-oriented individual to serve as a Certified School Resource Police Officer within our local school district. The primary role of this position is to foster a safe and secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The School Resource Police Officer will collaborate with school officials, students, and parents to build positive relationships and ensure the well-being of the school community.

Examples of Duties :

• School Security : Maintain a visible presence on school grounds to deter potential threats and ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
• Emergency Response : Respond promptly to emergency situations, including lockdowns, evacuations, and medical emergencies, and coordinate with school staff and administration.
• Crisis Intervention : Provide support and assistance during crisis situations, addressing conflicts, and promoting a positive school climate.
• Law Enforcement Education : Educate students on law enforcement and safety topics through presentations, workshops, and classroom discussions.
• Community Engagement : Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents through regular interactions, community events, and outreach programs.
• Law Enforcement Liaison : Serve as a liaison between the school and local law enforcement agencies, fostering communication and collaboration.
• Mentorship : Provide mentorship and guidance to students, offering support in areas such as conflict resolution and decision-making.
• Investigations : Conduct investigations related to criminal activities within the school environment, working closely with school administration and local law enforcement.
• Security Planning : Collaborate with school administrators to develop and implement security plans and procedures.
• Resource Coordination : Connect students and families with community resources to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
