COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond.
The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role works under the supervision of Manager, HSP Operations with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Houston Dynamo FC / Houston Dash training facility, the Houston Sports Park.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides excellent service to professional teams, internal departments, leagues, and public rental groups who utilize the facility.
- Collaborates with professional teams, leagues, and public rental groups to assess needs.
- Prepares fields for rentals and events which includes set-up (moving goals, bleachers, sideline setups), breakdown (moving goals, cleanup), and conversions.
- Identifies and reduces risks, park beautification and waste management.
- Enforces facility procedures and rules.
- Assists with execution of major events and tournaments.
- Evacuates patrons in the event of lightning and / or inclement weather.
- May assist at Shell Energy Stadium for Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash events and other departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to multitask in variable, often inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours including weekends, nights, and some holidays.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Occasionally lift, carry, and / or drag up to 50 pounds (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform function).
