In accordance with established procedures and policies, the Equipment Aide establishes and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
The Equipment Aide monitors all supplies and equipment, and facilitates maintenance in an assigned area.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for accurate record keeping and quality checks of equipment.
- Identify needed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of unit specific equipment / environment according to procedures.
- Enter online requests for repairs to facilities and keep accurate records of maintenance performed.
- Assist with assigned quality monitoring including, but not limited to, maintaining refrigerator and temperature logs and point of care testing.
- Notify appropriate personnel when respective quality indicators are out of normal range.
- Order unit specific supplies / equipment and ensures that adequate amounts are available on the unit.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED or one year previous job experience required in lieu of High School Diploma / GED.
- Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete Equipment Aid duties and the ability to use Equipment Aid equipment.
- Prior job experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
