Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Allentown, PA area. This full-time, school-based role offers an exciting opportunity to work with students with diverse needs and help them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including elementary emotional support, learning support, and multiple autistic support classes.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to support student success.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social and emotional growth.
- Provide training and resources to families on supporting their children’s educational journey.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing special education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
