Job Description Summary
The Adjunct Faculty in Nursing Care Skills prepares individuals to become a Nurse Aide. This course serves as the educational foundation for the Nursing Care Skills certificate.
This course consists of course work in theory, laboratory activities, and hours in a clinical agency.
Core Competencies and Qualifications
- Participates in the planning and evaluation of each segment of the curriculum.
- Monitors new trainers and supplemental instructors in lecture, laboratory, or clinical whenever that individual is teaching something new for the first time.
- May delegate classroom, laboratory, and / or clinical teaching responsibilities to a supplemental instructor. Delegation of laboratory or clinical teaching requires a permitted nurse aide trainer to be onsite (not virtual).
- Responsible to assure demonstrated competency on a student’s achievement record.
