Duties :
- Review and summarize medical records to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
- Attend hearings and represent clients in court.
- Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
- Draft comprehensive reports for pre-trial, interim, and appellate matters.
- Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
- Regularly attend court appearances to advocate for client interests.
- Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Requirements :
- Licensed to practice law in California.
- 3-10 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in general liability, construction defect, or employment / wage & hour defense.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery motions.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Active State Bar of California license.
Skills :
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client representation.
- Proficient in legal research and drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery.
