DescriptionGillette Children's is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Craniofacial and Plastic Surgeon to join our team.
A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence, leadership, and direction to interdisciplinary teams as it relates to Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery in the following areas : Working collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team to provide surgical services that are consistent with patient needs and with current surgical practice.
Pre- and post-operative care.Consultative clinical care for persons in Gillette Children's programs.Development of clinical criteria to be used in the monitoring and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of surgical care provided.
Consulting with physicians who provide primary care to our patients, to maximize a person’s health care and coordinate that care with care provided at Gillette.
Administrative, research and education responsibilities within the Craniofacial section.Continue education to maintain competency in areas of expertise.
Quality improvement and safety initiatives.Education of Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare residents, medical students, and fellows by providing seminars and teaching.
An interest in growing the influence of Gillette’s Craniofacial surgery regionally and on the national stage.The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients, enjoys working with a strong team focused on helping patients improve their health and live their lives more independently and brings energy to the workplace while having the ability to have work life balance.
Qualifications : Required : Board Certified / Board Eligible with the American Board of Plastic SurgeryCompletion a minimum one-year Pediatric Craniofacial fellowshipMeets the qualifications to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota, including DEA licenseCurrent certification in CPR (BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association) or must obtain certification within 90 days of hireClinical proficiency in area of medical specialtyDemonstrated expertise in the management of patients with complex chronic conditionsDemonstrated ability to build the trust and respect of patients, staff, colleagues, and external contactsAbility to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environmentActive member of the medical staff of Gillette Children's Specialty HealthcareGillette Children’s is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse team, as we know that the diverse experiences of our employees make Gillette a stronger and better organization.
