This position will work as a dyad partner with the hospital's medical director and is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the strategic, administrative, financial, and patient care activities and operational functions of the laboratory.
This position serves as the primary administrative interface of the clinical lab enterprise for UT Health San Antonio's Multispecialty and Research Hospital.
This position will also co-lead the development of new laboratory services for UTHSA to include, but not limited to :
- Blood Bank and Donor services
- Stem Cell and Cellular therapy laboratory for a new bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy program
This position will also have a collaborative working relationship with the university reference lab leadership to work programmatically on adding services to further complement the UTHSA health system.
