The IP Billing Coordinator is responsible for compiling, managing and executing IP attorney billing. They will work closely with attorneys, assistants and accounting colleagues to accurately maintain records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and processes billing for principal billing partners to include drafting, editing and preparing pre-bills and final bills per attorney / client specifications and / or guidelines
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation, as required
- Confirms rates and any fee arrangements are reflected for each individual matter
- Creates and prints / uploads final client billing
- Manages the requirements for clients who use e-billing to ensure billing is completed timely and coordinates with Electronic Billing Specialist, as appropriate
- Prepares and processes write-downs following firm policy
- Prepares write-offs following firm policy
- Researches and responds to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems
- Monitors the WIP and A / R inventory for assigned attorneys
- Generates billing statements and production reports, as requested
- Ensures strict confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in legal billing required, experience billing for Intellectual Property preferred
- High-level attention to detail, superior analytical skills, excellent time management, and ability to communicate concisely required#LI-Hybrid
Pursuant to the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the salary range for this Los Angeles based position is between $59,500 - $97,100 and the Washington DC Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this Washington DC based position is between $62,100 - $101,300.
These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors : education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
