They will have to work extra hours when things get busy which is cyclical. There may be nights they work late, and occasionally, they may need to come in on weekends.

Manufacturing Operations Facility located in Germantown, MD.

Explanation :

This person is both hands-on running a forklift and doing all the shipping duties, but this is also someone with excellent communication skills (proper English both written and spoken can write professional emails) who can deal with both external and internal customers.

This person will be handling orders by email and sometimes phone; handling escalations of problems and urgent matters; tracking packages;

making sure of accuracy; must have extreme attention to detail. Ideally this person was a floor manager at a warehouse before someone who might have already managed a team of employees, who had responsibilities, who is reliable and professional.

They need to be a bit tech savvy because they will train and use SAP software daily. Also, MS office and Teams is a must.

This person will be training alongside someone who is being promoted. Then they will move into that person’s spot.

Responsibilities :

Use SAP software to process and confirm picks, deliveries and sales orders. Review and take action on multiple daily shipping reports.

Pack domestic and international sales orders. Create shipping labels for small package outbound UPS and FEDEX. Pick, process and load palletized truck load orders.

Monitor and initiate requisitions for shipping supplies as warranted. Interact with internal customers (Business Groups) to fulfill their sales order demands and provide status updates.

Contact freight companies for pick-ups.

Basic Requirements :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Forklift Certification
• MS Office

Preferred Qualifications :

• Associates degree
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong PC skills including the ability to learn new software applications.
• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Previous warehouse and / or outbound shipment experience
