Job Description : About the Role :

About the Role :

The Shipping Operator role at the Cedar Rapids location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to :

• Moves trailers in and out of loading docks and scales. Must obtain and maintain valid CDL class A License (Company will provide training to obtain CDL license).
• Conduct yard check daily.
• Load products into rail cars and truck trailers, assuring cars and trailers are sanitary.
• Check accuracy of shipment by comparing items loaded against items listed on Shipping Order.
• Direct placement of merchandise for balanced load to minimize shifting during transportation.
• Oversee operation of palletizers, stretch wrapper, conveyor systems and scrap balers.
• Enter information for completed BOL’s into Order Management Systems and prints BOL’s.
• Operate Fork Truck and Pallet Jacks in a safe manner. Maintain forklift batteries and charging / changing out as needed.

Complete safety checklist each shift.

Must be able to access information from computer and provide computer data entry

Important Details : This is a full-time permanent role on 2nd shift (3 pm to 11 pm). Shift differential included.

• Demonstrated experience following instructions / process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
• Experience in a manufacturing environment food manufacturing a plus
• The ability to work overtime and weekends
• Forklift Experience a plus
