DIRECTV is seeking a Principal Enterprise Solution Architect technical expert for designing and implementing solutions to complex problems.
This strategic leader is the go-to person for the organization when it comes to implementing new technology or solving difficult issues.
As a Principal Enterprise Solution Architect, you may work on a variety of projects at any given time, and often work with other engineers and developers to design and build new systems or improve existing ones.
Here’s what you’ll do :
- Understand Business vision and strategies, create IT strategy based on business strategy, and define roadmap to achieve the Business vision.
- Determine and implement build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and view of the overall business strategies.
- Evaluate new technologies and industry trends, develop proof-of-concepts, and present findings to the engineering organization.
- Technical Lead on solution deployment projects, including hands on configuration of complex components.
- Translating business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process design within comprehensive integrated technical solutions architecture.
- Align solutions with standards and best practices working with cross functional teams / clients.
- Collaboration with internal and external teams on design, architecture, interface design reviews, process reviews, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Continuously evaluate various parts of the platform for opportunities for security hardening and improvements in observability.
- Communication with developers and users of our platform to understand pain points, bottlenecks, and desired features to continuously improve the platform.
- Perform risk analysis and create mitigation strategies with continuous evaluation and validation of system design and architecture.
What you’ll need to be successful :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, preferred.
- 7+ years of Enterprise / Solution Architecture.
- Experience in Next Best Action, real time decisioning, customer journey, and Martech domains.
- Experience in integrating SaaS / On Prem software products using various integration technologies.
- Pega CDH architecture experience is preferred.
- Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management, and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
- Business acumen to understand the needs of our business and how technology helps to achieve our goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Possess an everything has a solution mentality and fearless go-getter attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and motivational skills.
- Experience in modeling and graphic representations.
- May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Mid (N2) : $134,700 - $202,100
High (N3) : $148,170 - $222,310
Top (N4) : $154,905 - $232,415
Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
